As director of IDC's European Imaging Hardware Devices and Document Solutions team, Arnaud Gagneux is responsible for research strategy and output, and deliverable quality and timeliness. His core focus is on supporting customers and their business through standard research and consulting engagements. Gagneux is often requested as a speaker at vendor and industry events based on his extensive experience and expertise in the IHD and document solutions market. He is often quoted in the trade press in the U.K. and Europe.
Before joining IDC, Gagneux worked for various market research companies such as Context and IFR/GfK. Gagneux has been researching the IT market since 1993, with a special focus on the imaging and consumables market and their related distribution channels.
Gagneux also gained experience on the vendor side when he worked at Lexmark Europe for nine years. In that role, he provided strategic and tactical advice, forecasting and market intelligence to the senior management teams at corporate, regional, and local level as well as supporting sales operations throughout EMEA. During his time at Lexmark, Gagneux was a member and chairman of the European Printer and Copier Committee, a trade organization focusing on market research methodologies, processes, and quality controls.
Gagneux studied business management both at Middlesex University in London and EuroMed in Marseilles and went to high school in the U.S. after completing his French Baccalaureate.
