Donna Taylor is research director for storage research in Europe. In this role, she provides research, analysis, and insight focused on developments in the storage market ecosystem. As part of her remit, Taylor provides analysis on how trends in the industry affect market performance and supports vendor planning and strategy as well as providing end-user recommendations. Coverage includes storage systems and infrastructure, tape and hard disk drives, as well as cloud, green IT, and storage virtualization. In addition to her research responsibilities, Taylor also provides custom research and consulting to IDC clients.

Taylor joined the IDC European Storage team with more than five years' experience as a storage analyst and trusted advisor. Prior to joining IDC, she worked in corporate development and strategy at IBM's HDD and Storage Systems Division, where she led deals involving M&A, strategic alliances and partnerships, commercialization of internally-generated technologies, and the due diligence for the sale of the HDD division to Hitachi.

Taylor earned a juris doctor with a concentration in international corporate law, an MBA with a concentration on international management, and a bachelor of science in finance and multinational business operations.
