Prior to joining IDC, Mr. McNally was the Global CIO of international food retailer, Royal Ahold, where he was responsible for global systems and infrastructure. He developed the company's strategy for Next Generation Retail Systems and led the migration to a global outsourcing agreement. Under his leadership, the company achieved SOX and PCI compliance. Prior to becoming Global CIO at Royal Ahold, Mr. McNally served as CIO of the company's US Foodservice division, overseeing IT for this $19B food distributor. During this time, he also managed the company's Financial Shared Services.
Prior to his work at US Foodservice, Mr. McNally led the IT consulting practice at AlixPartners LLC, where he worked with Kmart, ToysRUs and Safety Kleen Corporation. In a consulting capacity, he served as interim CIO of Safety Kleen, American Sunroof Company, and Majid al Futtaim in Dubai. Mr. McNally was a consultant at Ernst & Young, where he led large systems implementations.
Mr. McNally has broad industry experience including retail, manufacturing, automotive, insurance and financial services. He has in-depth experience in all aspects of Information Technology including architecture, security, e-commerce, web development, and operations. He is a recognized expert in ERP systems.
Mr. McNally holds an M.B.A. in Information Systems from Drexel University and a B.A. in Speech Communications from Penn State University.
