Kazuhiko Hayashi is the Research Manager in IDC's Japan Servers Group responsible for the market analysis of computing servers, vendors strategies, and the competitive landscape. In his role, he tracks, analyzes and forecasts the server market in Japan, delivering strategic insights to help IDC's key IT clients achieve their business objectives.
Before joining IDC, Mr. Hayashi pursued an IT systems and LSI development career at Texas Instruments which spanned 29 years. He managed the system LSI development group at Texas Instruments in Japan and USA, developing deep sub-micron ASIC devices for about 15 years. Thereafter, he managed the EDA and IT systems for the LSI development division, responsible for multiple data centers with Linux/Unix based HPC system, large scale storage system, disaster recovery system, product life cycle management, and UNIX security for over 8 years. His last appointment with Texas Instruments was as Senior Member of Technical Staff.
Mr. Hayashi holds a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering from Tokyo Denki University, Japan.
