Mohamed Hefny
Senior Research Analyst, Virtualization, Systems & Infrastructure Solutions, CEMA

Mohamed Hefny joined IDC in June 2008 as a research analyst in the systems and infrastructure solutions group. He oversees and coordinates standard research on the PC markets in Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia. Mohamed also oversees research and consulting activities on server virtualization in the CEMA region, as well as being responsible for analyzing and compiling market data related to the IDC EMEA Quarterly Workstation Tracker.

Prior to joining IDC, Hefny worked as an international marketing specialist for GET Group, Egypt – a global market leader of passport and identification systems. He was also an executive manager for Digital Technologies Establishment, Qatar, and a contributing writer for the Egyptian edition of PC World magazine.

Hefny is a certified project manager (CPM) from the American University in Cairo and holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo. In addition to his native Arabic, he is fluent in English and French.
