Mitsuhiro Iriya is Senior Market Analyst of IDC's Japan Software and Security Group, based in Tokyo. In this role, he is responsible for the analysis of system infrastructure software markets in Japan. His major areas of interest include system and network management software, operating system, virtualization software and open source software. His coverage includes market forecast, vendor competitive and strategic analysis and end-user trend.

Prior to joining IDC, Iriya worked at Samsung Japan where he managed market research projects covering the Japanese electronics industry. Prior to Samsung Japan, he worked at a domestic research company where he was responsible for the research of Software markets.

Iriya holds a Master of Engineering from Chuo University, Japan.
