Owen Li is a Research Manager at IDC China’s Services and Telecommunication Research Group. Based in Beijing, his main responsibilities are to conduct market research on networking equipment, manage consulting projects, engage in client interviews, and process and analyze data. In addition to his knowledge of the networking equipment market, Owen has a strong knowledge of telecom value-added services, brand management, and customer purchasing behaviors.

Prior to joining IDC, Owen was a Telecom Market Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. His responsibilities included data analysis, intelligence collection, as well as providing counsel and useful insights based on the developments in the telecommunications market to the carriers. In this role, Owen worked on projects for telecom carriers such as China Mobile, China Netcom, and France Telecom, as well as equipment vendors such as Huawei, Samsung, Siemens, and ZTE.

Owen holds a Masters in Wireless Network Management from Stevens Institution of Technology, USA.
