Polly Chan is a Senior Market Analyst for IDC's Asia/Pacific Software Research Group, based in Hong Kong. In her role, she is responsible for managing the software research tracking processes, which involves creating and maintaining software databases, analyzing key market trends and outlook, and developing market intelligence documents and presentations.
Trained in system development, Polly has more than five years of experience in the field of banking, insurance and information security. Prior to joining IDC, Polly was a web management analyst at Symantec Corporation, Australia, where she was involved in building tools and content for the website.
Polly holds a Master degree in Technology Management from University of New South Wales, Australia, while her first degree was Computer Science from University of Hertfordshire, UK.
