Harish N. Taori is a Senior Research Manager in IDC's Asia/Pacific Consulting group. Based at the regional headquarters in Singapore, Harish is responsible for global and regional consulting engagements, developing consulting businesses, and identifying new practice areas. Harish is an international consultant specializing in market strategy and advisory services. He had led numbers of intricate and diverse engagements which helped global business heads understand market potential and expected growth and define their market entry strategy. He also helped enhance and sustain their competitive advantage and improve profitability through better understanding of supply side industry dynamics, competitive landscape and demand side ecosystem. Additionally, Harish had authored whitepapers and thought leadership content in areas such as Green IT, Business IT alignment, Impact of software piracy, power rectifier reliability and enterprise architecture assessment.

Prior to joining IDC, Harish was a founding member and senior consultant in Global Consulting Practice (GCP) at Tata Consultancy Services. There, He executed various consulting engagements in IT Strategy, Business-IT Alignment, IT Architecture, Information Systems and Technology Planning, IT Governance, Process Re-engineering and Technology Evaluation for marquee customers in EMEA and Asia/Pacific. In this role, Harish was responsible for business development, identification and growth of new consulting services, client relationship management, market analysis, and project delivery.

Prior to consulting, Harish was a program manager in TCS, one of the most respected MNC in North America, leading its Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing program. As a certified six-sigma green belt and certified Enterprise Architect, he initiated various process improvements, which resulted in significant operational efficiency and cost savings.

Harish holds a first class with distinction in Production Engineering and Management from National Institute of Technology, India. Currently he is doing his MBA from University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and expected to graduate in March 2012.
