Ted Dangson is a Vice President with IDC's Global Technology and Industry Research Organization. In this position, he provides quantitative research, IT spending forecast models, and analysis for cross-industry research initiatives. He supports IDC's Global Technology and Industry Research Organization through client consulting engagements, analyzing market trends for IT budgeting and business development strategy. Currently, he leads IDC's IT Wallet research initiative, analyzing spending on IT and Communications technologies by the largest companies in the U.S., and by multi-national companies worldwide.
Prior to joining IDC’s Global Technology and Industry Research Organization, Mr. Dangson was an Associate in the strategic development group at AMG, and served as a financial analyst at State Street Bank, developing models for product pricing and strategic operations. He has also worked for Southern Growth Policies Board, an economic and public policy think tank, performing competitive analysis of state technology infrastructures, and for Saffron Technology, performing market analysis for business development.
Mr. Dangson holds a Master of Economics Degree with a concentration in statistics from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
