Tomasz Sloniewski joined IDC in January 2003. He researches and analyzes the software markets in Poland and the Baltic States and oversees standard software research for Central and Eastern Europe. As a research manager, Sloniewski helps to set the research agenda and engages in strategic consulting for IT organizations looking to expand their businesses in Central and Eastern Europe. Sloniewski is also a leader of the big data research group in IDC CEMA, which monitors and analyses the development of related technologies in CEE.

Sloniewski has had articles published in the IT press in Poland covering topics such as business intelligence, big data, IT security, and enterprise resource planning. He is quoted regularly in the Polish press and on Internet portals, and he frequently delivers presentations covering IT market issues at various events and conferences.

Tomasz Sloniewski holds a master's degree in international relations from the University of Warsaw, Poland.
