Masaaki Moriyama is Group Director of IDC's Japan Storage, Sever, Hardcopy Peripheral and Personal Computing Group. Masaaki and his team of analysts provide timely and industry-leading insight and analysis of the IT industry in Japan. He leads research in disk storage systems market, storage network infrastructure, storage virtualization, storage usage trends in end user. Masaaki launched and established Japan storage related research programs and conference "Japan Storage Vision". He also undertakes IDC's Japan custom research, multi-client studies, and consulting projects on storage industry trends, product requirements, and marketing strategies.
Masaaki is a frequent speaker at conferences in IT industry in Japan.
He has more than 20 years experience in research and consulting. Prior to joining IDC, Masaaki spent more than 10 years at Yano Research Institute in Japan as manager and analyst on storage and electronic components.
Masaaki holds a Bachelor of Literature from the Chuo University, Japan.
