Margaret Dings is the Vice President of IDC's Services Industry Consulting Group. Ms. Dings is responsible for developing and managing research-based consulting projects, including market opportunity assessments, competitive analysis, value proposition testing, brand perception ratings, cost/benefit analysis and marketing publications. Topic areas covered include business process outsourcing (BPO), eBusiness, pervasive computing, Linux, SMB, and extensive work in cross-technology cross-geography collaboration.
Ms. Dings has worked in consulting since 1991. Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Dings was an Associate with Mercer Management Consulting. At Mercer, she was responsible for managing modules of strategy assignments for clients across several industries. Specific work included development of organization strategy, business design strategy, supply chain logistics, and customer satisfaction and loyalty programs.
Ms. Dings holds a B.A. in mathematics with a concentration in economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
