Rebecca Segal heads the Global Services Markets and Trends research team for IDC's Services Research Group. Her team provides an overview perspective of the key customer issues, trends, and competitors affecting the global services industry as well as tools to assess industry and vendor performance. These tools include the Worldwide Quarterly Vendor Tracker, a quarterly report of the top50 vendors' financial performance across major services categories and regions and IDC’s Services Market Forecaster.   Rebecca began her career with IDC as a research analyst tracking the services market in 1985.

Rebecca received her B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College and her Masters degree in Social Research from Boston College.  She’s recently returned to Boston College to teach a Marketing Research class in the School of Management.
