Lloyd Cohen is the Director of Worldwide Market Analysis within IDC’s Global Enterprise Server Solutions program. He is responsible for all quantitative analysis on the server marketplace. His research includes market sizing, market share, segmentation, tracking, trending and vendor analysis for the multiuser server technology. He publishes a number of high-profile research reports including IDC’s Server Census – Annual Shipments and Installed Base. Mr. Cohen also produces research on the keyboard, video, and mouse market (KVM). Additionally, each year Mr. Cohen produces the Worldwide IT Expenditure map and the U.S. Personal Computer PC Penetration database, which details the distribution of PCs by metropolitan statistical area, by state and by zip code. He is often quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, the Financial Times and Investors Business Daily.

In addition, Mr. Cohen is Director of Research for the workstation marketplace. His research includes market sizing, market share, segmentation, tracking, trending and vendor analysis, and forecasting of the workstation market .Mr. Cohen also tracks and publishes research on the workstation graphics board market.

Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Cohen was employed as a consultant at Harbridge House, a management consulting firm located in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Cohen holds a MBA degree from Babson College and both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
