This IDC presentation provides results of a comprehensive survey into current U.S. customer deal making strategies by organizations that employ 1,000 persons or more and across the full range of outsourcing markets including BPO, application outsourcing, and infrastructure outsourcing (data center outsourcing, network outsourcing, desktop outsourcing). In particular, this study examines the approach by U.S. enterprises to contracting across a broad range of topics including renewal strategies, benchmarking requirements, asset and HR transfer preferences, structure of provider portfolio, scope of services, and price renegotiations expectations.
