IDC Privacy Policy

At IDC, we are committed to protecting your privacy.
We use the information we collect on our Web site to deliver services
and to enhance your experience. Please read below for specific details
on our policy.
Specifically:
- We do not sell lists or usage information.
- We do not accept any advertising on our site and therefore have no
information reporting requirements to any third party.
We may aggregate statistics of the type of applications used to browse
our web site and the regional source of that browsing, among IDC and
other IDG companies for analysis. Such data is collected and examined
through our web server's log files without identifying the user.
IDC employs SSL encryption on all credit card transactions. The secure
server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before you send
it to us.
Corporate Administrators at our client organizations have access to
usage statistics for their account base. If your user account is part
of a corporate account, then a Corporate Administrator at your company
may access your user and usage information. Corporate Administrators
can access user information only for individuals within their corporate
profile.
Cookies
IDC.com places 3 "cookies" on your machine; one that stores
your login information for up to 1 year, and 2 cookies that maintain
your presence when you log into the site. The cookies tell IDC.com only
who you are, and that you have logged in to the site successfully. The
identity cookie resides only on the computer that you used to login to
IDC.com and the 2 session cookies expire within 8 hours or 1 year of
your session, depending on whether you opt to have the site "Remember" you
upon login. No one external to IDC has access to user information for
individual accounts (individuals who are not part of a corporate account).
Email Privacy
IDC.com requires that users provide an email address as their login identity
when registering for an account on our web site. This ensures a unique
identity and provides IDC with a method to contact customers about service
interruptions and other service related issues.
During registration, new users are added to the IDC.com Subscriber list
to receive additional communications about special IDC offers, unless the
user unchecks the pre-checked Contact box. If you choose to un-check the
Contact boxes, you will not be included in the IDC.com subscriber list.
To remove your email address from this list, simply login to IDC.com, click
on Edit Profile in the top-right corner of the screen, then un-check the
selected contact methods in the "Contact Me By" section.
Once you are on the IDC.com subscriber list, you may ask to be removed
at any time. You may simply click on the link that appears at the bottom
of the IDC email you receive. Or, you may also request that your email
address be removed from the IDC.com subscriber list by entering it on our
Unsubscribe list, here.
Once you request to be removed, please allow up to 10 days to be taken
off the
IDC.com subscriber list. If you would like to re-subscribe, you can add
your email address to our list again by signing up to be contacted on
your IDC.com Profile page, or by contacting IDC Technical Support at idc_support@idc.com.
