1) Who can register as press?
If you have a press id number, please provide it when
filling in the registration

an id number, or are a freelance journalist, please
provide further credentials in the 'additional comments'
section. Your form will be reviewed by a member of
the IDC PR team who will contact you in due course.
2) What benefits do I get as a journalist if
- You will be able to create your personal
My IDC page where you can personalize your site
options, as well as store and share IDC content
in a personalized bookcase.
- You will be able to keep up-to-date with
new research through saved searches.

based on your specific interest areas and register

executive updates on the ICT industry.
- You will receive a list of IDC analyst contacts
by region with extensive information on analyst

3) Why does IDC not provide free access to all
IDC invests considerable financial and intellectual
capital in its research. Analysts spend
weeks and months researching and writing reports,
developing insights and forecasts, and drawing
important conclusions about various technology
markets. In order to protect these investments
and maintain the value of its research, IDC must
be selective about when and how its research
is presented in the public domain.
4) How can I set up an interview with an IDC
Please go to the Press
Contacts section and contact
a member of your regional team. They will endeavour
to put you in touch with the most relevant IDC
analyst as soon as possible. Alternatively you
may request to receive a list of IDC analyst
contacts by region with extensive information
on analyst coverage areas, and their direct contact
details. IDC supports direct journalist-analyst

Although IDC has been following the ICT marketplace
for more than 40 years, we cannot guarantee that
historical data will be available for every market. If
you have a request for historical data, please
let us know and we will investigate whether the
request can be fulfilled.
